World Grand Prix 2005 - Press Conference

Press conference

Netherlands beat Thailand 3-0 (25-19, 25-17, 25-14) - duration 1:08
26-Jun, start time: 15:00, end time: 16:08 - Attendance: 7'260
City: Ningbo; Hall : Ningbo Beilun Gym
Thailand head coach Chanbunchee Sutichai: We still had problem in our first attack and we should improve on that. We tried to spike better but could not do that.

Sangmuang Patcharee (Thailand): Though we lost the game, I think we have tried our best and we played better than we did yesterday. We struggled in serving and receiving, which made it difficult for us to play effective counter attack.

Ingrid Visser (Netherlands): It's an important win for us. In the first set, we made mistakes in passing and handling free balls, and then we corrected that in the second and third sets.
In the first set, they played quick attack and good combination, which made our defense difficult. But later on we adapted to that and managed to win 3-0.

Dutch head coach Avital Selinger: It was an important win for us. We started pretty good, but then we lost concentration and that made it a little bit difficult for us to win the first set. Later on, we picked up our concentration and it's not so difficult for us to beat Thailand in the second and third sets.

We still have a lot to improve in handling the Asian type of play. Today Thailand showed some interesting combination and good play in defense.
