World Grand Prix 2005 - Press Conference

Press conference

Japan beat Korea 3-0 (26-24, 25-14, 25-18) - duration 1:23
25-Jun, start time: 18:00, end time: 19:23 - Attendance: 12'000
City: Tokyo; Hall : Yoyogi
YANAGIMOTO, Shoichi (JPN Head Coach)
"The important thing in today's game was the defending. Since every member chased the ball very well and did not give up, we were able to win this game. The level we are aiming at is the level of the Chinese team. We will try hard to achieve the next goal."

TAKESHITA, Yoshie (JPN Captain)
"We did very well in blocking and combination attacking. We still have some things to improve. We will recheck our combinations and try to do a better job in tomorrow's game."

KIM, Hyung-Sil (KOR Head Coach)
"Concerning today's game, there is no word from the losers. I'd already answered the team condition in previous interviews. At least we could identify some weak points which we can now improve. When we play Japan the next time, we want to play a tremendous game."

CHOI, Kwang-Hee (KOR Captain)
"I really didn't think that we could win easily, but we should grow in confidence after this game. Both Korea and Japan are facing a generation change, and I think that we will win next time. We can improve our weak points and reach the same level as Japan."
