World Grand Prix 2005 - Press Conference

Press conference

Brazil beat Korea 3-0 (25-21, 25-20, 25-14) - duration 1:17
24-Jun, start time: 14:05, end time: 15:22 - Attendance: 3'450
City: Tokyo; Hall : Yoyogi
GUIMARAES, Jose (BRA Head Coach)
"In the beginning we could not find any rhythm. From the third set we could play our own style of volleyball. It was a tougher game than I thought."

MENEZES, Valeska (BRA Captain)
"I am very pleased with today's win. Though in the fist and second set we could not play well as a team, we regained our pace from the third set."

KIM, Hyung-Sil (KOR Head Coach)
"It certainly felt like we were playing against the No. 1 team in the world. We did not have enough time to prepare fully and it showed. Looking ahead to Saturday's match against Japan, after the Olympics Japan has also experienced a generation change among players. We do not have enough information about each player, so we will just learn as we go along. Focusing mentally is more important in Korea vs. Japan games."

CHOI, Kwang-Hee (KOR Captain)
"The domestic league ended just before this competition, and we had no time for decent practice. Personally, I made a lot of mistakes which was inexcusable."
