Korea Women's Team traditionally depends on the quick combination play and mental power. The players are not so tall, but feature the most excellent defense among the world best teams. The best ranking in the Olympic Games was 3rd place in Montreal in 1976, while in the Asian games, champion in Hiroshima 1994. This year when it is regarded as the most critical international season on the road to Beijing, Korea Women's Team is joined by new squad fresh in national team, which is expected to give an impulse to the team for better result in international matches. In the long term view, KVA will maintain this team to 2008 Olympic. Addidtionally Ms. KIM recoverd from the long injury is ready to show the powerful volleyball to the fans and veteran players will lead the team in harmony.		Coaching Career 1. 1994 - 1997 : Assistant Coach of GS Caltex Women's VB Team - 1st place at 1994-1995 season Korea Super League(Winter Season National VB League) - 1st place at 1995-1996 season Korea Super League - 1st place at 1996-1997 season Korea Super League 2. 1999 - 2001 : Assistant Coach of Hyundai Construction Women's VB Team - 1st place at 1999-2000 season Korea Super League - 1st place at 2000-2001 season Korea Super League 3. 2001 - 2003 : Head Coach of Heungkuk Insurance Women's VB Team 4. 2004 : Head Coach of KOR Jr. Women's VB Team - 3rd place at 2004 Asian Jr. Women's Championship. 5. 1998, 2005 : Assistant Coach of KOR Sr. Women's VB Team - 9th place at 1998 Women's World Championship - 2nd place at 1998 Bangkok Asian Games - 4th place at Asian Women's Championship. 6. 2007 : Head Coach of Korea Women's National Team - 4rd place at 2007 Asian Sr. Championship Personal data: - Date of Birth : March 27, 1960 - Hobby : Watching movies - Family : Wife(49 years old) and two sons(16 & 17 years old) - Education : graduated from SungKyunKwan University - Major : Physical Education Declaration by the Head Coach - KOR team was not so good condition at the 2007 Asian Women's Championship as many players who participated in 2006 Women's World Championship was absent due to injuries. However for the 2007 World Cup, they recovered and came back to National team. Therefore I predict that KOR team will show their best performance in this prestigious event although their conditions does not get back on the trail compared to Asian Championship. No one should tell that the ticket to Olympic lay beyond our reach. We are heading to 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and our relentless ever efforts will make it come true.
