Team Profile   Coach Profile
The history of the Korean National Men's Team in world competitions over the last 40 years has been rather inconsistent. Korea participated in the Olympic Games 8 times since 1964 and its best ranking was a 5th place at the Los Angeles Olympics in 1984. The Korean National Menís Team won the gold medals three times at the Asian Games in 1978 in Bangkok and in 2002 in Busan and in 2006 in Doha.

In the World Cup, 5th place in 1991 is the best result ever reached by the Korean National Menís Team. Korea won four Asian Senior Men's Volleyball Championship titles in 1989, 1993, 2001 and 2003.

In the 2007 World League, Korea team won 3 matches against Canada. However KOR team had the exciting game with BRA team until time out in Cheonan. And we have good matches with Canada and Finland. We believe this valuable experience will help our player to upgrade their skills and performance.

Many young players like Mr. MOON who had acquired valuable experience by taking part in international competitions in 2006 & 2007 will become main player for the team, while veteran players lead the team harmoniously.
