China and Brazil get a learning experience on each side of the net

Despite Chinese dominance in the first set, and Brazil's comeback, the third and fourth were too tight and errors were the key.

Mexicali, Mexico, October 6, 2013 -  The coaches of China and Brazil really expected a tough match, because of the technique and skills on each side of the net. China’s Jiande Xu remarked how important was to study his rivals. On the Brazilian side, this result will be taken as a learning experience.

Jiande Xu, coach of China: Tonight We faced a very strong team and learned a lot of this experience. Brazil has a very good technique and good communication among their players. We could win and it was a nice match.

Claudio Lopes Pinheiro, coach of Brazil: Congratulations to China. We expected a difficult and tough match tonight. It really was, but we made a lot of mistakes. We have just a few days training and not to much time together. However we look forward to grow up and improve.

Ellen Braga, captain of Brazil: Congratulations to China. We made many mistakes tonight, there were some details we missed and we hope this can be a learning experience for us.

Di Yao, captain of China: We played very well in the first set and tried to be consistent, but in the second they put a lot of pressure on us after we relaxed a little bit and played not too strong. However we went out to recover on the next two and could make it.
