Satisfaction about the fifth place for the Iranian side

Mirzajanpour expressed to be pleased with what Iran did in Brazil

Carlos Paez, Venezuela player: "We had a great time here. We weren't expecting to make it into the top half of the tournament, but we did and it's a great result for us. Also we leave the tournament much more experienced, because we could play against some very strong teams we never faced before, such as Serbia and Russia."

Ivan Nieto, Venezuela coach: "This was a very positive tournament for us. Not only we were able to advance from the group stage but also we managed to climb in the final ranking. The players could show their skills on the court even with their lower height. Now they can move on into the senior category having achieved something for our country."

Mojtaba Mirzajanpour, Iran player: "The match today it wasn't completely good, but it was enough for us as we finished in the fifth place. Individually, we had some mistakes here and there, but I think we had a very good run in this championship."

Payman Akbari, Iran coach: "I was confident on getting a medal because any coach expects the best for the team ahead of a tournament. We ended up in a very strong pool and all teams made use of their best players here. That was a big problem for us: we couldn't use our two best players, because they are participating back home in Asia."
