Mexicali, Mexico, October 8 2013 - China concluded as the best team of Pool B and finished undefeated. Now Chinese players have started to prepare their baggage for their next destination: the semifinals at High Performance Center.

Meanwhile, Kenya finished their participation. However the U23 World Championship was a special  and great learning experience.

Gaudencia Makokha, Captain of Kenya: China played with goor services. We could not receive. They finished as leader in the Pool and I wish you good luck. We learned more skills and we know we have to work on our mistakes. We had a great experience here.

Sammy Mulinge, coach of Kenya: China is a very strong team, with a lot of experience and played with a fastball and a very good tactical service. We tried to get some points in first and third sets. We couldn’t make as much as the 20 we got previously. I wish the best to China in next round.

Di Yao, captain of China: Kenya had a very good service. We had to get used it and after the second set we could work better. Now we have to be ready for the next part of competition.

Jiande Xu, head coach of China: First of all I want to thank Kenya for all their good wishes to us. We will triy to do our best and to be the best at this Championship and also want to wish the best to Kenya in their development of their volleyball.
