Marocco coach Brahim Bouchdouk and Rwanda Paul Bitok make hand shake after their teams match

Morocco coach Brahim Bouchdouk:

“First of all, I want to congratulate my team for their performance. Especially our outside hitter Zouhair El Graoui and also other setter Amine Zyani. They played a great match today. We calculated everything about the score. We knew that we had to win 3-0 for this position. We succeeded to put pressure from the beginning over Rwanda team. We are now18th in this competition. I thank to Turkish Volleyball Federation for this good organization. We had a fantastic tournament. Thank you for all to let us get this successful results in this championship.”

Morocco setter Amine Zayani:

“Thanks to all for this competition and for the Moroccan Federation, especially Madame Boshra. She conducted our preparations and we succeeded to win. We were all concentrated. Rwanda defeated us in African Championship 3-0. We had to take revenge. We played against very experienced team in the African Championship. Now we defeated them and have the place above them. We are now making a new generation of players and having a good era for future.”

Morocco team captain Zouhair El Graoui:

“We were highly concentrated during the match. We did our best. We are thankful to the technical staff, they added us to know everything about the Rwanda team. I also want to thank to the head of The Federation of Morocco Madame Boshra. They made everything available for us to win this match.”

Rwanda coach Paul Bitok:

“We are sorry about today because we know that we could play better. We are really happy to come Izmir for U21 Men's World Championship. Morocco team was very good. It was a tough tournament for Rwanda. We are not used to play matches like that, it was tough for my players. However, we gained a lot from last 10 days. We will continue working and do our best to compete in national tournaments. I promise in future, we will come back and be better. This is a high level arena. We have seen different systems used by different teams. So I hope we will make a difference in the future.”

Rwanda captain Aimable Mutuyimana:

“Playing against Morocco was very difficult for us today. Their system was really good and they were determined. They fought until the end. Qualifying for this championship was very important for us. We played against big teams and saw their systems. We are improved as mentally. We have been experiencing the other teams’ mentality. We have to fight until the last minute. Winning or losing is not the point. The main thing for us was to improve ourselves.”
