Brno, Czech Republic, June 30, 2013 – Czech Republic concluded their World Championship played in the home venue Kajot on Sunday and they wrote No. 11 beside their flag on the final standings. The team reached the same position which was their placing when they last qualified in 2009. Peru was obliged to a 12th position after a very long match which was closed only by the 17th point of the tie break won by the hosts (19-25, 22-25, 25-20, 25-23, 17-15).

Peru overruled the first two sets, freezing the spectators on the main stand. Then Czech Republic started the third set with a 5-1 score, and then with a steady block began to score points facing for a unhoped tie break.

The tie break went on point by point till 5-5, when Peru first took the lead 5-7. The Czechs accomplished the same (11-9 ), then a spike by Michaela Mlejnkova scored the 12-9. The first match ball (14-13) was for the host team when Angela Leyva spiked out a free ball. Then she put it right gaining another match ball for her team (14-15), but a wrong dig from Peru gave the last chance to Czech Republic: Sarka Bouskova and then Michaela Mlejnkova with her ace ended up the game.
