Bulgaria coach Dimo Tonev: Our main weapon against Peru today was the service

Bulgaria Dimo Tonev and Simona Dimitrova after the match with Peru

Brno, Czech Republic, June 29, 2013 – Bulgaria beat Peru 3-0

Peru coach Natalia Málaga Dibós: Bulgaria went over our faults tonight and won. It was a difficult match. Tomorrow we’ll play against Czech Republic the last match. We won against them in the preliminary pool. We hope we’ll have better mind than today and win the 11th place.

Peru captain Ginna Lopez: We played well in the first set but at the end of the set we did many mistakes. In the next two sets it was the same case. We didn’t play bad but in the critical moments we were worse than our rivals.

Bulgaria coach Dimo Tonev: I think my team had much better concentration than yesterday. However, we had some power cuts. In the last part we lost four points. I told my girls that this set was very important for us because maybe Peru could get better if they won the set. And we managed to turn it over. Our main weapon today was the service. I changed the players very often for the service and it paid off. Although we’ll play the 9th place-match tomorrow I’m not satisfied. I know the possibilities of my team. We could have been on a better place on this championship.

Bulgaria captain Simona Dimitrova: We had very good motivation today and we enjoyed this match. We were concentrated much better than yesterday and that meant our clear win 3-0.
