Egypt captain Farida El Askalany: We were very tired from yesterday but we played a good match

Captain No. 10: Egypt Farida El Askalany and Algeria Sarah Akroun

Brno, Czech Republic, June 29, 2013 – Egypt beat Algeria 3-0

Egypt coach Hesham Badrawy: We played many matches in the last days and in these games we obtained a lot of experience. This is the main reason why we won today: we knew how to play against Algeria. Now we are going to try to be on a better place than 14th. We want to go for the 13th.

Egypt captain Farida El Askalany: We were very tired from yesterday but we played a good match. We knew how to play against Algeria. That’s why we won.

Algeria coach Saidani Aimed Eddine: If I compare the two matches versus Egypt on this tournament, I have to say that today’s match was better. The players listened more to my instructions, but it still wasn’t ideal. I told them, for example, to help our libero because she was having some troubles in passing, but they didn’t. I think the main reason why the girls sometimes don’t fully accomplish my instructions is that we didn’t prepare very long for this championship as a team.

Algeria captain Sarah Akroun: My team lost against Egypt three times in the last year. I don’t know why we again went off at half-clock. Maybe they have better tactics. Anyway, Egypt was better than us. It’s sure.
