Mexicali, Mexico, July 1 2013 – The United States defeated Korea in a five sets match (22-25, 25-20, 25-21, 15-25, 17-15).

Korean captain Dong-Geun Jeong was the match top scorer with a total of 26 points. However, the blocking game of the American squad and physical battle on the net marked a difference.

Despite the Americans had a 2-1 advantage the team coached by Kim Youngil came back on the fourth and forced a tie breaker.
