Tunisia team aim to Arab Championship

Lofti Ben Slimane is trying to get as much experience possible as he prepares Tunisia team for the Arab Championship next month

Tijuana, Mexico, July 1, 2013 – The main objective of Tunisia team at the FIVB Boys’ U19 World Championship is to get enough experience as they prepare to participate in the Arab Championship next month.

Tunisia’s coach Lofti Ben Slimane praised the technical skills of the Chinese players and said that playing against strong teams like China will be of great help to reach that goal.

Lofti Ben Slimane, coach of Tunisia: “China is a very strong team. As I have said before to contact these strong teams help us to get experience for the future. It is not easy to play against them because they are so fast with their combinations that make difficult for us to block. Our target is to have a good team for the Arab Championship next month. I am very happy today because our team played better than yesterday against Mexico. To me China is one of the best, if not the best team here.”

Ju Genyin, coach of China: “Today there was no pressure so both teams gave the young guys the chance to play, learn and get experience. Young players need more progress in their skills and also in their state of mind. Tunisia is a good team with strong players, they need to practice more and compete more at this level.”
