Poland not playing at its best yet

The overall defensive game of Poland was highly evaluated by the Chinese staff

Tijuana, Mexico, June 29, 2013 – Team Poland, already with three victories, had not played its real game until Friday when they edged China in five sets according to the squad’s captain Bartosz Bucko.

And he hopes the team will be able to play to the best of the ability when they meet Belgium next Monday in their last match of Pool A in the preliminary round.

Bartosz Bucko, captain of Poland:
“I am very happy for this win and I think this is the first time we can play our game. I only hope we can keep this level for the match against Belgium, one I think we are going to win.”

Yu Yaochen , captain of China: “We had problems in the first and second sets and our team couldn’t play well. We reached a good level in the fourth set but Poland performed better than us in the fifth. We will do our best in the next match.”

Wieslaw Czaja, coach of Poland: “Today it was a great match and I want to congratulate the Chinese players. We were a little bit tired after our second match of yesterday but finally we won the match. I want to congratulate also to all my players.”

Ju Genyin, coach of China: “It was a great match with good performance from both sides. We lost the first two sets but that’s a good experience for the boys. The defense of Poland is better than us. The whole match was a learning experience for our developing players.
