First victory por Japan, in a five setter against Turkey


Yuki Ishikawa and Yasin Aydin finished as top scorers. 28 points were for the Japanese captain, while 23 points for the Turkish player.

MEXICALI, Mexico, June 28 2013 — Japan grabbed its first victory at FIVB Boys U19 World Championship after defeating Turkey in a five set match (24-26, 24-26, 25-17, 26-24, 19-17) in Pool B.
Yuki Ishikawa scored 28 points for Japan to be the top scorer of the duel that lasted 2 hours and 4 minutes, while captain Tsubasa Hisahara scored 19. Kentaro Takahashi finished with 16 and Kosuke Hata tallied 10. 
Yasin Aydin finished with 23 points for the Turkish team, while Cansin Ogbai Enaboifo and  Vahit Emre Savas recorded 17 apiece. Melih Siratca also closed with double digit (14) for Turkey.
The Turkish team led on the first two sets and was even close to reach its second win of the tournament, despite a very good blocking strategy implemented by coach Ali Kazi Hidayetoglu. Both teams are with a 1-1 record after two days of competition celebrated at Mexicali State Auditorium.
