Dominican Republic coach Roberto Rocha Wagner: We have a young team, the girls are just 18

Dominican Republic coach Roberto Rocha Wagner wit his captain Pamela Marie Soriano at the end of the match against Italy

Brno, Czech Republic, June 28, 2013 – Italy win 3-0 against Dominican Republic to enter the semifinals

Dominican Republic coach Roberto Rocha Wagner: Italy was too strong for us. We have a young team, the girls are just 18. Now I hope we can win the other games.

Dominican Republic captain Marie Pamela Soriano: We played well, but we had to make five points more. The Italian girls showed more experience than us, so we are not disappointed. But we could win more points today.

Italy coach Davide Mazzanti: First of all, we are happy for this win and for our qualification to the semifinals. We are satisfied with the result, but not with our performance. We did just less mistakes at the end of the match. That was the reason of our win. We have to play better than this.

Italy captain Christina Chirichella: We made our game today, but Dominican Republic proved their strength. At the end of the sets we were better in attack and in defense, and this fact decided the match.
