Next goal of France: To reduce errors

France out served Rwanda 9-4 en route to the victory

Tijuana, Mexico, June 27, 2013 – The next goal of Team France for its next matches is to reduce the number of errors, said coach Slimane Belmadi at the press conference following the victory over Rwanda.

Belmani made reference to the quality of the other teams in their pool as the main reason to minimize the mistakes as the tournament goes on.

Slimane Belmadi, coach of France:
“First match is always a difficult one and it was that way for my boys and also for the Rwanda players. But to get the victory is a good start but I have to call the attention of my players about the number of mistakes. We need to reduce them against other stronger teams.”

Jean Marie Vianney, coach of Rwanda: “It was not easy for my team without experience to face a tough team like France. They were a little bit impressed and we really played very low. I think we can improve and show better than today.”

Thomas Nevot, captain of France: “It was important to win 3-0 thinking ahead of the competition. We didn’t play too well but the most important part is that we won.”

Jacques Iradukunda, captain of Rwanda: “It was a very tough match against a big opponent like France. We did what we can do. We lost the match but tried our best.”
