The 2013 FIVB Boys’ Under 19 World Championship, hosted by the Mexican cities of Tijuana and Mexicali, took place from June 27 to July 7. This championship saw an expanded entry of 20 teams, four more than in previous editions.
To cater for the additional teams there were four qualification slots for the AVC, three for CAVB, three for NORCECA, three for CSV and six for CEV. The vacancy for the host country was taken from the continental quota.
Russia won gold. Held every two years, Serbia took the
top spot at the 2011 Championship.
