We gained a lot of experience especially playing taller rivals, says Taipei’s coach

Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, August 4, 2013 – Chinese Taipei’s head coach Lo Chung-Jen on Sunday expressed his satisfaction with his team’s performance, saying they gained a lot of experiences from the Girls' Under-18 World Championship.

Lo Chung-Jen, coach of Chinese Taipei: “I’m glad that we won this match. Actually, there were some key factors which caused difficulties for our performances in the first set. We improved some weak points in the last two sets which resulted in our win. We gained a lot of experience here, especially playing taller rivals. I hope my players carry with them good things when they return.”

Chen Yueh Ting, captain of Chinese Taipei: “We played up to our standard. We did our best today because we made the most of our rest after tough matches.”

Dimitrios Floros, coach of Greece: “It’s hard to say. We lost our last match in the World Championship. My players still made several mistakes.”

Olga Strantzali, captain of Greece: “I’m a bit disappointed by our loss in the last match of this championship. Actually, we could close each set, but we always made too many mistakes. However, everyone in my team is very happy to compete here in Thailand. We obtained valuable experience.”
