FIVB Volleyball Girls' U18 World Championship

Expanded participation at FIVB Girls’ U18 World Championship in Thailand

Change was on the cards at the FIVB Girls' Under 18 World Championship that took place from July 26 to August 4, 2013 in the Thai city of Nakhon Ratchasima.

For the first time ever, 20 teams participated in the championship, four more than in previous years. The competition had four qualification slots for the AVC, three for CAVB, four for NORCECA, three for CSV and six for CEV. The vacancy for the host country was taken from the continental quota.

China won the title after Turkey had claimed victory at the previous edition of the competition in 2011.
