Kimura and Takasaki led Japanese triumph
After a tie at 6-all, Turkey took the lead 8-6 by a wide spike of Miya Sato and a block by Guldeniz Onal. The Japanese recovered and under the leadership of Saori Kimura and Saori Takasaki found themselves 16-12 ahead at the second pause. The difference mounted to 21-13 with Junko Takahashi signalling the route of an easy first set win.

Both teams battled closely at the start of the second set with Turkey leading 8-7 via a big block executed by Eda Erdem. The Turkish improved to 13-9 propelled by the attack of Erdem and Neriman Oszoy and led 16-13 despite a three-point in a row performance by Kimura. One ace by Gizem Giraygil closed the action.

Japan jumped to a 6-1 start in the third with two spikes by Takasaki and three aces of Kimura's manufacture. An 8-2 Japan advantage ballooned to 16-7 with Sato pulling the trigger of her gun. Oszoy led a big Turkey reaction to close the gap 19-15, but Kimura and Junko Takahashi restored the order.

The combo of Kimura and Takasaki gave Japan the comfort (8-2) at the first pause, but Turkey answered back with a rally led by Ozsoy and Erdem to keep the set close (12-11). The second time-out found Japan in front 16-13, but four times Turkey came to within one point before tying at 20-all with a spike by Onal. One Turkey error and ace by Yuka Higashiyama gave the lead back to Japan who finally one with a spike of Takasaki.
