Russia beat Puerto Rico 3-1 (25-16, 25-21, 22-25, 25-19) - duration 1:35
31-Jul, start time: 14:30 - Attendance: 350
City: Istanbul; Hall : Haldun Alagas Sport Hall
Vanessa Velez, captain of Puerto Rico: "The high blocks and big serves of Russia gave us some problems. We faced difficulties with our reception in some key moments and could not execute. The Russians also have good ball control. Congratulations."

Luis Garcia, coach of Puerto Rico: "I am satisfied with the eighth position. We are a very small island of only 4 million people so placing eighth in the world is great. Russia is one of the best teams in the world with big attackers. We played well, very well."

Tatiana Soldatova, player of Russia: "It was a very hard match and I am happy because we won it. Puerto Rico played hard all the time. Congratulations to them."

Rishat Gilyazutdinov, coach of Russia: "We did not play a good match but we could solve some problems. The important is that we won despite the problems. When the tournament began we wanted to finish first, now at the end we have to take the seventh place."
