Mexico coach: "We are happy to live this momemt

The coaches and team captains speaking in the press conference
Mexico Head coach Ricardo Jesus
“This is very exciting to achieve today…. We are between the top 8 teams in the world.  We have been together from Girls Youth World in Thailand and this it is a great moment now to reach this level. My team worked very hard during the last month and now this victory is the reward to long and hard work. Now we will prepare to face Netherlands for the top position of the pool. Later we will start the strategic planning for the next round. Now all the team has to enjoy this great and historical moment for our country”.
Mexico captain Xitlali Herrera
“This match was very tough from the beginning. After we won the first set, the team couldn’t control the emotions in the second set, but we returned back to our performance in the third set.. We are all very happy to stay together the last two week in Thailand and now here in Baja California. Now we will continue playing hard to obtain the best position in this competition”.
Venezuela head coach Sergio Rivero
“We knew that it was a difficult match against Mexico in their homelands with some of their players coming from girls Youth World Championship in Thailand and having more experience and collective team work. Mexico made radical adjustments in the third set and we couldn’t stop them, after that our team couldn’t recover and re enter the match”.
Venezuala captain Daymari Brito
Both team played their best, we had much consistency. Our service didn’t help us. We committed also many mistakes in the court.  Mexico plays great volleyball and we congratulate them for the performance and victory.”
