Turkey attackers channeled through the weak Mexican blockers to win 7th position

Polen (TUR) penetrated the Mexican block frequently

Mexicali, Mexico, July 25, 2009- Turkey used their efficient spikers  Polen Uslupehlivan and Nesve Buyukbayram against the weak Mexican blockers to clinch an easy victory 3-0 (25-10, 25-12, 25-21) in the  play of for 7-8 positions in the 2009 Women’s Junior World Championship held here at Auditorio del Estado Ciudad Deportiva hall in Mexicali, Mexico on Saturday.
 Turkey finished in the 7th position while Mexico ended 8th.
 Nesve Buyukbayram was the match scorer (14 points) ahead of Polen Uslupehlivan (13). From the Mexican side Samantha Bricio and Xitalali Herrera scored 7 points each.
 Turkey made a good start through putting a pressure upon the Mexican team through their block and wing spikers and succeeded to lead 8-6 at the FTT. Mexico team couldn’t tolerate the spikes Polen Uslupehlivan and Gozde Yilmaz due to the improper block and thus Nesve Buyukbayram and Gozde Yilmaz spiked again successfully to lead their team to win the set 25-10.
 Turkey team spiked aggressively in the second set due to the weak Mexican opposition as Nesve did a good job with Polen and the team captain Melis to win the set easily 25-12.
 The first part of the third set was the best for Mexico played their best all through the Match when their arranged their defense to draw the only time with Turkey 7-7 before their opponent went again to widen the score through their better blockers and backline defense. Mexico players tried their best at the end of the set and succeeded to decrease the point deficit to 22-20 before Mexico went easily to win the set 25-21.
