Team profile

This year's squad is composed mainly from the most succesful generation of Spanish players in recent times. They finished both the 2009 CEV Youth European Championship and 2009 FIVB Volleyball Boys' Youth World Championship in fifth place, the best finish for a Spanish national team in the World Championships. They repeated this success in the 2010 CEV Junior European Championship which took place in Mogilev and Bobruisk (Belarus). Some of the young players made their senior international debut last year and some others are expected to move into the team to lead a new generation of players which will give a boost to sport in Spain.
