"we wanted to save our power for the semifinal," says Dinamo Kazan coach Gilyazutdinov

Dinamo Kazan coach speaking after the match

 Zurich, Switzerland, May 9, 2014-
Dinamo Kazan coach Rishat Gilyazutdinov:

“As we already knew yesterday that we would be qualified for the semi-finals, we wanted to save our power for those games. That’s the reason why I we let play some reserve players. They did a good job in the first two sets, but had some lack of concentration afterwards. Losing was no option to us. We wanted to win this game as it’s “victory day” in Russia, one of the most important days in our country.”

Dinamo Kazan wing spiker Antonella del Core:

“We started well in the game. I think our changes in the starting six were an important factor, as the Brazilians hadn’t expected these players on the field. As these players who played today haven’t had a lot of game time this season, they had some ups and downs in the game, but they did their job really well. The most important for us is the victory.”

Molico Osasco coach Luizomar de Moura:

“The first two sets were really bad. We didn’t seem ready for this game and committed to many unforced errors. A positive point for me was our comeback afterwards. We have to get ready now and play our best game from the very beginning of the game and not at the end tomorrow.”

Molico Osasco captain Sheilla Castro:

“I’m disappointed. We had a big down in the first two sets and couldn’t play our game. We committed to many unforced errors. I’m only a little bit satisfied with our reaction and willingness afterwards. However, have to improve our play if we want to win this important semi-final against Volero Zurich.”
