"Hisamitsu played incredibly well in their own defense," says Kazan's star Quinn

Hisamitsu celebrating a point

Zurich, Switzerland, May 8, 2014- Dinamo Kazan coach Rishat Gilyazutdinov:

“It was a hard game for us in the very beginning, as you saw in the first set. We didn’t know our opponent, as we had no information about them for our preparation. However, we found a way back into our game and could play better. We are now already qualified for the semi-finals, but we want to look where we can still improve.”

Dinamo Kazan  Jordan Quinn Larson –Burbach:

“We struggled a little bit in the very beginning of the game. On the other side, Hisamitsu played incredibly well in their own defense. We couldn’t get our points. Afterwards, as we did some changes in our pays, we could improve and find back to our game. We want to prepare now for the big game against the Brazilians tomorrow. It will be a tough fight.”

Hinamitsu Springs coach Kumi Nakada:

“I can’t explain why we had these problems after our win in the important set. We tried to find other ways to avoid their blocking game, as we prepared it in our trainings. This worked really well in the first set. I have to say that I am disappointed, as we wanted more in these two games. Nevertheless, it was an important experience for the whole team.”

Hinamitsu Springs captain Mizuho Ishida:

“We started really well into the game and got points by fast plays. I think they weren’t as ready as we were at the very beginning of the game - we had really good combinations in our game. However, afterwards it didn’t work anymore. We couldn’t play as well as before and lost this game.”
