Dinamo Kazan up and running after beating Hisamitsu Springs

Kazan's blockers were too solid for Hisamitsu team

Zurich, Switzerland, May 8, 2014- Dinamo Kazan opened their campaign at the 2014 FIVB Women's Club World Championship with a convincing 3-1 (22-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-18) win in Pool B over struggling Hisamitsu Springs of Japan in the second day of the competition at Saalsporthalle in Zurich, Switzerland on Thursday.

After Hisamitsu led in the first set with a marvelous performance, Dinamo Kazan rebounded back to win three successive sets in their way to achieve the victory that booked a semifinal ticket to their team and also for Brazil's Molico/Osasco after both teams become 1-0, while Hisamitsu finished their pool matches with a win- loss ratio of 0-2.

Hisamitsu entered the game late but they but efficiently with the great improvement in their backline defence which allowed them to start the combinations led by the setter Chizuru Kotoh and thus they were ahead 16-15 at the second TTO. The Japanese team widened the score gradually using their outside hitter Risa Shinnabe and the opposite Miyu Nagaoka till 22-17. Again opposite Nagaoka scored from position 2 allowing her team to leap to 16-9 at the second TTO and forcing the Russian coach to make substitutions. The Russian team explodes suddenly and narrowed the point deficit gradually till they draw for the first time 18-18 and lead 20-19 after the coach changed Gamova's position to play outside hitter instead of opposite where she served her team to win the set 25-22 to draw 1-1.

Kazan went on with their spirit to lead constantly in the third set with led by Gamova and Antonella Del Core who conducted their team to lead throughout the set 8-2, 16-12.
