Team profile

Dinamo Kazan won the 2014 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League and will be one of two European clubs participating in the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship.

The Russian powerhouse dethroned the reigning champions from VakifBank Istanbul, by defeating them 3-0 (25-23, 25-11, 25-23) in the final match in Baku.

Ekaterina Gamova was once again the best scorer of the match with 21 points for Dinamo. Jordan Quinn Larson-Burbach added another 16. Captain Gözde Sonsirma was VakifBank’s most prolific player with 10 points.


“I am happy to prove that we are the best team in Europe and will continue to encourage our fans to love our team more and more,” said Dinamo head coach Rishat Gilyazutdinov.  “We are all happy. Many thanks to everybody who was here to support us and thanks to the organizers. It was a real nice event that we will never forget.”

Coach profile

Rishat Gilyazutdinov became Head Coach of Dinamo Kazan in 2009. He led the club to victory in the 2014 European Champions League, as well as third place in the 2012 edition of that competition. His successes also include Russian titles in 2011, 2012 and 2013 and victory in the Russian Cup in 2010 and 2012.
