Lindsey Berg, Captain of USA
On her injured right ankle:
It's OK. I felt something different, something wasn't working and I didn't want to push it. I'm sure it will be fine. I hope I can play on Tuesday.
On playing Dominican Republic in the quarterfinals:
They're going to be coming to get us. They are emotional, aggressive and physical. We're going to have to serve tough and keep the ball away from their libero (Brenda Castillo). They're gonna need the game of her life.
On whether the fact they had qualified for the quarterfinals regardless of the result affected the way they approached the match:
Not at all, we played for ourselves. We didn't want to dilly-dally because there would be no benefit in that. We needed to keep in our rhythm.
Hugh McCutcheon, Coach of USA
On Lindsey BERG's (USA) injury:
We think she's OK - nothing torn. She does a lot for us. Of course, we are concerned. We'll have to see how she is.
On facing Dominican Republic in the quarterfinals:
We've seen bits of them. I know their results have been a little sporadic throughout the year, but they have a lot of experience and have weapons that can hurt you. They are all legitimate teams at the Olympic Games.
Danielle Scott-Arruda, Player of USA
On the tournament so far:
We have got better with each of the five matches. Turkey came out strong, but we were able to regroup whenever we went behind. I've played in four overseas Olympic Games and never heard such huge support from American followers in the crowd - it's given us a great lift.
Marco Aurelio Motta, Coach of Turkey
On the allegation of match fixing between China and Korea:
I don't like to talk about something I am not sure (about). But the result is good for both teams. We needed to win two sets and we didn't, so it doesn't matter. I saw by TV so I don't know exactly what happen.
On supporting Serbia winning against Brazil on the last pool's match:
Of course, there is no way I could not support Serbia.
Gozde Sonsirma, Player of Turkey
On Turkey's loss:
In the first set we defended well, but made mistakes on our attacking throughout the match. I'm really sorry as we should have made the quarterfinals. I'm sorry, I'm disappointed.
