"We failed this game completely" says Russian giant Dmitriy Muserskiy

Dmitriy Muserskiy and Alexander Butko look completely knocked down as Brazil cruises to a 3-0 triumph in the real highlight of day 2

London, Great Britain, July 31, 2012 – “I have got a team that shows a lot of confidence. The posture of the team and everything my players did in this match was very important” said Brazil coach Bernardo Rezende at the end of the match with Russia that his guys claimed with a terrific 3-0. Coming up next on Thursday are the USA: “The base of my group is very good. We have got a lot of experience and it is in these moments, playing strong teams like USA, that it comes handy” he concluded.

“Apart from low percentages in attack we were worse than Brazil in all fundamentals, so we need to improve our game in almost everything” stressed Russian star Maxim Mikhaylov. “Brazil just played their own game with no surprise for us, so our problem is the team game and maybe the lack of a leader”. Next stop for Russia will be Tunisia on Thursday: “We should not underestimate Tunisia because they have taken a set against Serbia and therefore they shall not be considered simply as underdogs”.

“We failed this game completely” added giant Dmitriy Muserskiy. “The reasons are many, but I think the main one would be mental preparation. Personally I did not feel that well either, especially on the serve. The last year it seems to be my constant problem. This game was lost but the competition goes on, so we should particularly stay focused on improving our performance. In this case qualifying for the quarterfinals should not be a great deal for us”.
