FIVB VOLLEYBALL MEN'S U21 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

The FIVB Volleyball Men’s Junior World Championship takes place every two years and is a chance for the stars of the future to take centre stage as they look to catapult themselves into the senior set up. Specifically for players under 21 years old, the tournament has played host to players who have gone on to become icons of the game. In 2011, the competition took place in Brazil from August 1 to 10. Russia collected their eighth gold medal earned by the country in 16 appearances in the FIVB Men's Junior World Championship while Argentina took silver and Iran bronze. In 2013, the competition will take centre stage in Ankara and Izmir in Turkey.
