Established in 1989, the FIVB Volleyball Girls’ Youth World Championship is the premier event for girls under 18 as they look to make their first mark on world volleyball. For many it is the first chance they have at performing in front of the whole world, giving them a spectacular opportunity to experience a truly world class event. In 2011 it took place in Turkey from August 12 to 21. Hosts Turkey came out on top, seeing off China in the final. Serbia won the bronze medal. In 2013, the competition will take centre in Nakhonratchasima in Thailand. |
