launched the FIVB’s 9 Goals at the Swatch FIVB World

Tour Finals in 2015, as the global federation looks

to build on recent success and achieve its vision of

becoming the number one family sport in the world.

The 9 Goals

The 9 Goals are part of a long term strategic plan

developed by President Graça and the FIVB to help

direct the future work of the federation and ensure it

realises the sport’s huge global potential. The 9 Goals

were devised through a collaborative, internal process

which looked at the main areas of development and

progress with an emphasis on opportunities, technology

& innovation.

The Organisation

As the global guiding organisation for volleyball, the

FIVB upholds the highest standards to ensure the legacy

and excellence of the sport is experienced and enjoyed

around the world.

The FIVB is the global governing body responsible

for all forms of volleyball, with currently 222

affiliated national federations and five continental

confederations. The organisation’s role is to provide

leadership to volleyball players and licensed athletes

all over the world.
