* The fourth place winner at the World Europe Continental Cup events qualified for the FIVB World Cup Olympic

Qualification Tournament due to the need to have an extra team since hosts Russia were also competing. Europe

was previously chosen as the continent to provide the extra team at a drawing of lots during the 2012 FIVB Board of

Administration meeting in March 2012.

The FIVB Beach Volleyball World Cup Final determined the champion country from the World Continental Cup, featuring

10 countries per gender represented by one team each. The 10 countries included the winners of each of the Beach

Volleyball World Continental Cup Finals and the national federations who qualified a maximum of two teams at the

2012 Olympic Games via the Olympic rankings.
