’S MAIN DRAW
Juliana and Larissa defeated Renata and Leao for the
gold medal in the all-Brazilian women’s final of the
US$ 600,000 Grand Slam Moscow 2009 presented
by SEAT.
With their 21-18, 21-19 victory in 47 minutes be-
fore a crowd of 4,000 Juliana and Larissa shared
theUS$ 43,500 first-place prize in winning their
24th SWATCH FIVB World Tour gold medal since the
start of their partnership in 2004. Renata and Leao
split $29,500 for their best SWATCH finish of the
season while in the All-German bronze medal match
Sara Goller and Laura Ludwig posted a 21-16, 21-18
victory in 38 minutes over Katrin Holtwick and Ilka
Semmler.
Another German pair, Julius Brink and Jonas Reck-
ermann, put their names in the men’s SWATCH
FIVB World Tour record book by winning their third
straight gold medal while tying the mark for most
consecutive match wins by defeating Brazilians Ema-
nuel and Ricardo in the men’s final.
