A key season for FIVB Development
The 2009 year was not only a busy year for Techni-
cal and Development Department at FIVB. Many po-
litical key decisions were taking by the FIVB for the
future of the Federation and Volleyball. The FIVB in-
vested more in development during 2009 than any
other year in its history by allocating more financial
resources to the FIVB Confederations to help nation-
al federations.
The FIVB Executive Committee unanimously ap-
proved a proposal to introduce a new FIVB devel-
opment funding project where national federations
can propose through Confederations development
projects to be funded by the governing body of Vol-
leyball. The FIVB Development Fund proposal aims
to provide increased and improved support to na-
tional federations through the FIVB Confederations.
