in Mexico are now complete with all 20
vacancies filled.
To most people’s surprise two-time
defending champions Serbia could only
manage an 11

qualifier while Spain, runners up two years

From June 27 to July 7, 2013 the cities
of Tijuana and Mexicali in the province
of Baja California in Mexico will host the
edition of the FIVB Boys' U19 World
Championship. It will be the second time
that Mexico will host this age-group
tournament after Tijuana staged the event
in 2007.
The tournament is held every two years
though this is the first time the competition
will feature 20 teams as all previous editions
have featured 16 teams only. This year’s
competition will run over 10 days with two
rest days.
In total there were four vacancies for Asia
and Africa, three for NORCECA and South
America and six for Europe.
