Fe Garay ready to take
on leadership role
With the memory of Brazil’s London 2012 Olympic success slowly
fading, the double gold medallists’ preparations are already beginning
for their Rio de Janeiro 2016 campaign. At the heart of the campaign
is Fernanda Rodrigues, better known as Fe Garay, the player who
scored their winning points in London. Now as one of four Olympic
champions in a squad of 15, Fe Garay is fast becoming one of the
squad’s senior players as they build towards their home Olympic
Games. “Before, I was one of the youngest in the group, now I am
one of the most experienced,” Fe Garay said. “I learned a lot from
my team-mates in London when we became the Olympic champions.

Faucette making big noise

Having already made her mark on-court for Italian team Busto
Arsizio, Juliann Faucette is hoping to now make her mark off it, with
the release of her first music single. The USA spiker, who was part
of the national team training squad for the Beijing 2008 Olympic
Games, has teamed up with the band
