The Big Picture
Trouble at mill
for Trentino
Italy’s Trentino Diatec, FIVB club world champions for the
past four years, were dumped out of the CEV Volleyball
Champions League on a golden set after splitting a two-
game series with Dinamo Moscow in the battle for a place
in the Playoffs 6 of the 2013 competition. The competition
has traditionally been used as the European qualifier for
the FIVB Club World Championships; Trentino won it
three times in a row from 2009-11 and came third last
year. In January they lost 3-2 in Moscow before winning
at home but then lost the golden set decider 15-12.
