The Turks took advantage of their size to create a lot of problems to their smaller rivals, who never were a major threat.
Demir, who started the match with 142 points, scored 19, and Ozbek and Hanikoglu contributed with 12 and 11 respectively. Georgina Pinedo and Maria Vicente had 9 and 8 for Argentina.
Turkey took an 8-6 command in the first set with 4 points from Ozbek and 3 by Hanikoglu, and increased to 13-8 with Ozlem Ozcelik and Demir scoring two spikes apiece. Hanikoglu and Demir provided most of the offense the rest of the way. In the second set, Demir and Osbek gave Turkey an 8-3 lead and Demir finished the set with 7 attacks and one ace.
