Women's World Cup 2003 - Press Conference

Press conference

China beat U.S.A. 3-2 (25-20, 20-25, 24-26, 25-20, 15-11) - duration 2:03
13-Nov, start time: 15:00, end time: 17:03 - Attendance: 4,086

YOSHIDA Toshiaki (USA head coach)
Both teams played well. The Chinese team performed good offensive plays in the fifth set. We did not play well in crucial times by making several unforced errors. The Chinese team is very strong and played better than us. We know that the remaining matches are important for us. We should do well in them.

TOM Logan (USA player)
It was a competitive game with ups and downs for both teams. Spectators must have enjoyed the exciting game. Tomorrow we have a match against the Brazilian team, and have to focus on it.

CHEN Zhonghe (Chinese head coach)
Although we had prepared well, the match was very hard and tough. When the set score was 1 - 2 we had really hard time, but managed to go through the difficult situation to the last set. The USA team was good at defense play in the set.

FENG Kun (Chinese player)
We were able to play a game of our level. Both teams showed high level performance. We had very good chances and clinched a victory. I hope that the USA team will perform well in the remaining games and have good results.
