A match that was spelt Leon - Quiroga

Singapore , Singapore, August 22, 2010 - Everything in the match between Cuba and Argentina was spelt Leon. That was the opinion from Argentina captain Gonzalo Quiroga in the mixed zone after the match at Toa Payoh Sportshall.

“It is the first time for some of the players in an international competition, so the beginning of the  set was under our standards, but after each point we felt more confident, and we started to play well” Cuba coach Rodolfo Sanchez said. “It was a funny match, but when one of my best players, Leon Wilfredo, is in such a good shape, we can defeat everyone. He his really humble, kind, and in his future this will be a great features both in and out of the Volleyball field."

"I think that this match was so great for the fans because of the spectacular rallies we did “ Argentina captain Gonzalo Quiroga said. “It was fun playing against Cuba, but at the same time very hard because they are almost perfect. We thought it would have been a difficult match, but maybe we would have played better. We had problems in spiking because of the high block they have but we can’t find excuses for losing 3-0."
