Singapore, Singapore, August 24, 2010 – Belgium will take on USA in a dream Girls’ Youth Olympic Games final on Thursday after they both won their semifinals on Tuesday.
Belgium defeated Peru 3-1 (25-19, 19-25, 25-21, 25-22) in less than one and a half hour. Thanks to a good reception and good spikes from the powerful Lotte Penders that scored 16 points, Belgium earned their ticket to the final.
In the second girls semifinal USA beat Japan 3-0 (25-20, 25-23, 25-23) in front of an exited crowd in Toa Payoh Sports Hall Tuesday evening.
