Tunisia head coach Ben Kaid Slim: “Egypt and Tunisia played with the same standard. We served well, but our reception did not live up to my expectation. We have to go back and train more in an effort of coming back stronger next time.”
Captain Maroua Boughanmi: “We did not play well. We made several mistakes, especially on our reception. To meet international standard, we need more improvement on our skill.”
Egypt head coach Badrawy Hesham: “It’s good that we beat Tunisia. At the African Championship, we lost to Tunisia 1-3 sets, but here we avenged them 3-2. As far as I’m concerned, African teams still have to improve more skills. The European players are tall. We find it hard to overpower their high blocking. I think we gained a lot of experience here.”
Captain Walaa Amer: “I’m happy that my team eventually won in the championship. However, both Egypt and Tunisia have the similar level. We still have more to learn.”
