China head coach Wang Jiaqin: "Slovakians are tall and strong. However, for a better place, we have to beat them."

China head coach Wang Jiaqin: “We used normal skills in the match against Tunisia. We are much stronger and played better than them. I think before that this match will end in three sets because we are stronger. That’s why I was confident of winning the match. We next take on Slovakia. They are tall and strong. We watched them play before. However, we have to beat them for a better spot in the championship. Duan Fang, a good blocker in my team, is sick. She could not play for the team today.”

Captain Yao Di: “We played without any pressure. I’m satisfied with our form, especially our reception.”

Tunisia head coach Ben Kaid Slim: “We met China before in the group round-robin preliminaries, but this time we played much better than that match. We played this match comfortably because we had learned before that we could not match them tactically and technically. We just need more experiences. They served well to get 11 points from only serving. We had no match against their great serves. We next play Egypt. I think we can beat them as we did before in the final round of the African Championship. Egypt and Tunisia have the similar height average. Therefore, we can play well at the net at the same standard.”

Captain Maroua Boughanmi: “China served well, but our reception was very poor. When they led us a few points, we could not catch them. Their skills are much greater than ours.”
