Thai coach: "We have to improve our defense and service game"

Egypt’s captain Walaa Amer: "We are not happy with the outcome of this match, but this is our first international match and debut in a World Championship, so we felt a bit of pressure. We hope we’ll play much better in the next games we have against Germany and Serbia."

Egypt coach Badrawy Hesham: "Two of our players stayed in Egypt and could not come to Thailand for the Worlds. But for sure we have to play much better in the next games."

Thai leader Sutadta Chuewulim: "We played quite well, but in the next training sessions well have to improve our service and defense if we want to move up to the next round. It was a pleasure to play in front our own audience."

Thai coach Kulchim Sanong: "Our defense was quite poor and we’ll have to work on that for the next games. But I am happy with the outcome of the match, especially for the many volleyball fans here in Nakhon Ratchasima who came to cheer us in the opening match of the World Championship."
