"We are ready for a tough job against China" says Turkish coach

Tunisia’s captain Maroua Boughanmi: “Well, our reception was very poor and so we suffered throughout all the match. We are definitely not happy with the outcome of this first match as we did not play at our level. Actually I have to say that we are all still a little bit tired after the long trip we had to Thailand, hope anyway we’ll perform much better in the next games”.
Tunisia’s coach Ben Kaid added: “Normally the reception is one of our main strengths but today it did not work at all, so that finally we had the chance to counter attack three times and no more. I have to add that this was the first international match for most the girls so they probably felt a lot of pressure. They are not in their best shape but I still hope we’ll improve for the next games”.
Turkey’s captain Ceren Kestirengoz: “I am very glad for this first victory but tomorrow against China we’ll have a much tougher job. I am sure we’ll play much better than what we did today and give our best in front of such a strong opponent”.
Her coach Ismail Yengil concluded: “Before the start of the tournament we thought that China was likely to be our toughest opponent in the Pool, but after they suffered such a defeat this morning, we all know that Peru will be a strong competitor as well. We area ready for the match against China; I think that today they did not play very well, but still they deserve respect. These girls perform a very difficult way of playing, with difficult movements, they are extremely young and so that is why probably they failed their first match against Peru. We are ready for a tough task”.
