Focus was the key for Spain in tie-breaker

Players of Spain celebrating one point against India

T.D. Ravikumar, Captain of India: “Spain played a really good game today”.

Carlos Baos, Captain of Spain:
“We are really happy as we managed to win this difficult match. We knew the match against India was going to be a difficult one. They are extremely good in the attack. They are probably one of the best teams in attack, and even in block as they also have very tall players. Our reception went definitely better today. I want to give my congratulations to the Indian team as they are really good”.

G.E. Sridharan, Coach of India: “We played five sets again today and it is very tiring for my players. Spain played a really good match, even in attack and serving. Today, we failed many points in reception even in the last set we lost two points in a row because of it. I would like to give my congratulations to the Spanish team as they played really well”.

Ricardo Maldonado, Coach of Spain: “This match was fundamental for us as it gave us access to the semi-final for position 5 and 6. In Bassano my guys played definitely better. India today experienced more problems in the reception than usual. Today we managed to have a good game during the first two sets then we lost our concentration maybe because we realized we were succeeding. Luckily we were able to focus again during the last set and we managed to win”.
